Long distance relationships

Someone once announced this, but what takes place when your love is living hundreds, or maybe thousands of miles away in another country. There are thousands of people who are concerned with long distance relations, regardless of the preconceived idea that they just do not work.

 If you're one of many thousands of people who feel lonesome now as the love of your life is far away, console yourself with the belief that long distance relations can, and do work. Thought you were the sole person suffering from within ache? Think again. Like any relationship, long distance relations need effort for them to succeed.

Where your relationship is different from an ordinary relationship, is the indisputable fact that you have the time to live for yourself. How many couples did you know of, who bitch that they never have some time for themselves. Making the maximum of this time apart can really bring you closer together. You've got to be engaging for somebody to show interest in you. You will feel forsaken, wonder what the other person is doing while you aren't there or doubt there fidelity to you.

You don't have the luxurious that ordinary couples have, so making the best of this time should be top of your agenda.

If the wonders do start creeping up on you, remember that your relationship is founded on trust, love and respect. It is announced the hardest part of a long distance relationship, is the goodbye. You had likely spent time getting familiar with one another again and before you know it, it is time to go again. While at the airfield or train station bidding farewell, try and think about next time you'll together and what you may do. Planning is a way of working with the heart ache.

Try and plan something for next time you'll be together, giving you both something to anticipate. It also gives your intelligence a feeling of security knowing that you are both working at the same goal. We revealed earlier in this column, that long distance relations can and do work and there's no reason that yours can't either. Put the effort in and you may ultimately harvest the rewards.
